Any
print job involves a number of different elements, of which putting
ink on paper is just one. We can help from the initial concept
through to distribution of the finished product, so it's never too
early to talk to us.

SPECIFYING
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
As
early as possible tell us what you want to produce. Important points
are:
-
format
(eg A4, A5) and number of pages
-
type
and weight of paper or board
-
print
and finishing processes required
-
quantity
and delivery instructions
Don't
worry about the technical specifications - we can guide you through
the options available.

ESTIMATING
We'll
provide a comprehensive quotation detailing the exact costs for the
specification you have given us, or that we've helped you develop. Our
quotations always identify any additional charges as part of our
policy of avoiding hidden costs.

GETTING
YOUR PROJECT TO US
We can accept text and images in virtually any form - from
traditional camera-ready materials through to all the most popular
graphics programs for Mac or PC on disk, by ISDN or by email.
We can handle black, spot colour, or four colour
process jobs and output to our CTP (computer to plate) equipment.
|

|
|
CHECKING
YOUR PROOF
Customers
have a choice of proofing methods including digital
black and white prints for single colour work; digital colour prints
for colour work - both of which can be used for checking and making
changes before final plates are produced. We also offer Agfa
Pressmatch proofs from final films, prior to platemaking, or wet
proofs from the plates. |

|
|
PAPER
AND BOARD
We
can advise on the different grades and weights of material to achieve
the correct presentation of the finished publication and to stay
within budget. As
part of our environmental policy, we have developed a high level of
expertise in the use of recycled papers. Where
no material is specified we always use the best available option from
a range of less environmentally damaging chlorine-free stocks. |

|
|
PRINTING
AND FINISHING
Our
high quality Heidelberg presses range from one to six colour machines
suitable for short or long runs of reports, leaflets and books. Trimming,
folding and binding (twin wire stitching, thread
sewing and perfect binding) are all carried out in-house to ensure
full quality control and to avoid delays. |

|
 DELIVERY
AND DISTRIBUTION
We
deliver finished jobs by our own transport wherever possible. We also
offer a mailing service for magazines and newsletters.
