We have a great deal of experience in printing on
recycled and part-recycled materials. If a client does not specify a particular
material an appropriate TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) or ECF (Elementary Chlorine
Free) material will be used.
Waste Paper: Printed and unprinted waste is kept separate and collected
for recycling.
Repro and Print Chemicals: Are re-used where possible or disposed of via
a licensed waste disposal company. No chemicals, dirty water or harmful liquids
are allowed to enter the drainage system.
Film: Waste film is kept separate from the general factory waste and sold
for recycling.
Printing Plates: Are stored for a period of time them sold for recycling
at a later date. Ink rags are bagged and collected by supplier, cleaned and
re-used.
In-line coatings: Water based varnishes (which does not affect
recyclability) are used which reduces the need for UV varnishing and
lamination.
Ink: Waste ink is returned to the manufacturer. All ink tins are stored
and collected by the ink manufacturer - no empty tins are allowed to go in the
general waste.
General Factory Waste: This is collected by a licensed waste disposal
firm with the correct carrier certificate issued by EVA/NL Region.
